PrivateBox AI – Warranty Policy

1. Overview

PrivateBox AI is engineered as an enterprise‑grade, on‑premises AI appliance designed for reliability, security, and long‑term performance. This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not covered, and how to request service.

By purchasing or using PrivateBox AI, you agree to the terms of this Warranty Policy.


2. Hardware Warranty — 1 Year

PrivateBox AI includes a 1‑year Limited Hardware Warranty beginning on the date of delivery.

What is covered

PrivateBox AI will be repaired or replaced (at our discretion) if it experiences hardware failure due to:

  • Defects in materials

  • Defects in manufacturing

  • Component failure under normal, supported operating conditions

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage, drops, impact, or liquid exposure

  • Damage caused by improper electrical supply or environmental conditions

  • Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or component replacements

  • Opening the chassis or tampering with internal components

  • Damage caused by unsupported software, models, or workloads

  • Overheating due to improper ventilation or enclosure

Remedy

We may choose to:

  • Repair the defective hardware

  • Replace the unit with an equivalent unit

  • Provide replacement components

Repaired or replaced hardware is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.


3. Software Warranty — 90 Days

PrivateBox AI includes a 90‑day Software Warranty covering:

  • Installation issues

  • Activation problems

  • Critical defects that prevent normal operation

Not covered under software warranty

  • Model performance, accuracy, or output quality

  • Customer fine‑tuning or custom model integration

  • Third‑party model bugs or compatibility issues

  • Customer‑installed software or system modifications

  • Data loss or corruption


4. Optional Support & Updates Plan

Customers may purchase an optional Support & Updates Plan for ongoing assistance.

Plan includes

  • Priority email support

  • Software updates

  • Security patches

  • Model compatibility updates

  • Troubleshooting assistance

Pricing

  • $499/year or $99/month

This plan is optional and not required to use the product.


5. Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty is void if:

  • The chassis is opened

  • Hardware is modified or replaced without authorization

  • The system is operated outside recommended environmental conditions

  • Unsupported models, runtimes, or workloads cause damage

  • The device is overclocked or thermally modified


6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.

  • We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including:

    • Lost revenue

    • Lost data

    • Business interruption

    • Productivity loss

    • Model output errors


7. No Warranty on AI Model Outputs

PrivateBox AI provides a secure environment for running AI models, but we do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy

  • Safety

  • Reliability

  • Fitness for a specific purpose

All AI outputs should be reviewed and validated by the customer.


8. How to Request Warranty Service

To request service, contact our support team with:

  • Order number

  • Serial number

  • Description of the issue

  • Photos or logs (if applicable)

We will provide instructions for diagnosis, repair, or replacement.


9. Shipping & Replacement Terms

  • Customers are responsible for shipping the unit to our service center.

  • We cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement unit back to the customer.

  • Replacement units may be new or refurbished and will be functionally equivalent.


10. Governing Law

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the product was purchased.
